William (Bill) Talley, AIA
Executive Director, Digital Experience
As Executive Director of Digital Experience, Bill Talley provides leadership and vision in design, working with our cross-functional teams to embed digital interaction in architectural form, space, and order, fostering new dimensions in user experience. Through an understanding of our clients’ specific business drivers and objectives, he is adept at identifying new design opportunities and applications in their diverse settings.
Bill is a registered architect with 30 years of design leadership on award-winning projects of scale and distinction around the world. Beginning his career with Eppler + Maraini in Baden, Switzerland, and Richard Meier & Partners in New York, Bill advanced to leadership positions with regional and international firms, including Odell and Gensler. Bill’s experience covers the breadth of building programs from civic to commercial to corporate, as well as cultural, higher education, public assembly, and transportation. This extended range affords a valuable perspective on design innovation across the built environment and its arc moving forward.
Bill holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University. A vocal advocate for the profession, he is past President of AIA Richmond, past Director of AIA Virginia, and past Chair of the Virginia Foundation for Architecture.
