Lisa B. Woods is a creative director and artist who innovates using interactivity and digital media in a broad range of contexts – from business operations to experiential art.
As a Senior Technology Designer at Sensory Interactive, Lisa works closely with the company’s design and revenue management teams to develop and deploy interactive and digital experiences in the built environment. She is responsible for ensuring that all UX and UI elements are usable and useful while also meeting the highest standards for visual design.
Before joining Sensory Interactive, Lisa was most recently the Creative Director and Curator of Hopscotch, an experiential art gallery and emerging business model for art spaces. Before that, she was a Creative Director and UX Designer at argodesign in Austin. Lisa also founded Austin’s Interactive Installation Meetup and co-founded dadageek, an education non-profit offering classes in applications of new technologies in art.
Lisa has spoken about the future of art at multiple SXSW Interactive conferences, the UNESCO Media Arts exhibit, Maker Faire Austin, the Writers’ League of Texas, Midwest UX, and Girls Who Code. Her thoughts on the topic have also been published in HOW Design, CityLab, FastCo Design, and Makezine.
Lisa holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in design from California College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational communication from St. Edward’s University in Austin. She is a lecturer in the University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Design and Creative Technology.
