Designer Preethi Hannah holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in interior design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Thiagarajar College of Engineering in Madurai, India.
Before joining Sensory Interactive’s Austin office, Preethi worked on the interiors team at GSC Architects and as a project designer at Austin interiors firm The Bommarito Group. She also served as a lecturer at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she taught interior design studio classes for undergraduate seniors.
Preethi’s academic focus was on evidence-based approaches to understanding environmental psychology and human behavior in design. This focus led to a master’s thesis on creating “third places” in international airports, which included a conceptual redesign of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
A childhood in Saudi Arabia and time spent studying and working in both India and the United States have given Preethi a dynamic personality and the ability to communicate in five languages, along with a diverse set of design influences and a unique understanding of cultural issues.
